I opened my salon at the early age of 20 years old. I have competed in hair competitions, studied under very diverse educators and learned levels of professionalism from some of the most distinguished individuals.
As a licensed professional, my main concern is giving the clients that I service an experience that will gravitate them back into the salon. I strive for unique techniques and methods that will enhance my skill as a stylist and business owner. Continued education is a must for me. I am not a competitor. I am a Creator. In June (2014), I became a licensed educator in the field of Cosmetology. I adequately positioned myself to pour into individuals what I have instilled in me. I am a realist and one of the most instinct driven individuals you’d know. I customize looks for clients and have a keen eye for beauty. I Love people and enjoy seeing them happy.
In April 2014, I launched SIPS Organic Coffee Bar inside of my salon. I wanted a chance to offer everyone a healthier lifestyle. The beverages that I carry are infused with Ganoderma ( King of All Herbs). Clients now have a place to come and relax, enjoy refreshing beverages and be themselves.
I am a graduate of the class of 91’ from Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida. After finishing high school I attended Roffler Technical Institute Beauty College where I was able to pursue my passion since being a little girl. I have been licensed now for 21 years and still counting. In 1992 I moved back to the Midwest and continued pursuing my dreams.
Living in Bloomington, Illinois opened up many other doors where I could be the owner of my own salon in 2000-2003. “Envision Hair Salon” I was graced to be able to have two hair shows and a play that opened the eyes of college students as well as those in the community. “Shades of Color” production was done at the Bone Student Center in Normal, Illinois. The myth was put to rest when I was inspired to put a play together about a salon that has many shades of people who come into the salon with lots of issues some good and bad. However, they meet a Christian Stylist who helped a certain young lady see her worth through the tough times. All salons do not have to be ghetto!!!
In 2005 I found my way back home where I once again was able to open another salon in 2009-2012 “Next Level Hair Studio” I am extremely grateful to have worked with such wonderful co-workers along the journey! Now I am in the beginning of a New life, a New Year and New Salon, “Salon SaTreice” where New things are taking place!
Psalms 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; and he deilighteth in his way.
